The award-winning team of I Got Mind presents an educational presentation on the topic of mental health.
This presentation is for athletes, parents and coaches, and will explain why many of us experience mental health issues that affect our performance in sport, our relationships, and our daily activities. The I Got Mind team will share insights in to how seemingly small issues can become bigger issues. When these issues go unresolved they can have an impact on everyone around us.
We like to call it Mental Wealth. When are mentally ‘wealthy’ we are balanced, we can face adversity, develop resilience, and perform more optimally. We should all strive to be mentally wealthy individuals.

Bob Wilkie - IGM President
Bob Wilkie is a native Calgarian and a product of Hockey Calgary.
Bob grew up playing in Glenbrook and Canyon Meadows before playing for the Calgary Buffaloes. He was a part of the first Calgary team to win the Mac’s Midget Tournament.
Bob played 4 years in the WHL and was a survivor of the infamous Swift Current Bronco bus crash in 1986, before winning the Memorial Cup Championship in 1989, and all the while playing under the coaching of Graham James. Bob was drafted to the Detroit Red Wings and played 10 years of professional hockey.
In 2008, he founded I Got Mind, to help athletes, parents and coaches. Bob is passionate about helping our future athletes learn valuable skills to prevent them from experiencing issues with life-long consequences to their mental/emotional/physical well being.
Shawn O'Grady - IGM Mental Health Clinician
Shawn has been with I Got Mind since 2018. He has extensive experience in working with aspiring athletes. His expertise and training in childhood trauma with Internationally renowned, Dr. Bruce Perry, has made Shawn’s contributions to I Got Mind, invaluable.
Shawn’s full-time role is the Senior Director of Therapeutic Campus-Based Care, Group and Continuing Care at Hull Services and he has been with them for over 20 years, working with youth and families.
He also has his own private practice and provides family counselling.
Shawn is the father of two young athletes and continues to coach in his personal time.
