QUIZ/ ASSIGNMENTS
An informative course to help parents develop new skills for more positive and effective communication with their child.
The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.' - Maria Montessori
Overview
Communication is one of the major root causes of issues in relationships. As we try to raise our children to be happy and successful, we can make many mistakes that can prove costly.
Our children can develop many impactful skills from us. Both positive ones and negative ones. We can teach them to trust and respect with communication. We can teach hate and blame through communication as well.
This course will cover many core competencies of being an effective communicator. The first and most important item to understand in communication is its meaning. Often people think they are great communicators until they learn the true definition.
We will share what makes for a good listener, the power of your word, and what criticizing and condemning can teach your child.
The course consists of several lessons, and the entire course should take about an hour of your time. How much value it will provide depends on how serious you take it and what new practices you put in to place.
Learning Objectives :
- To create a new understanding of what communication is
- To define and clarify what makes a good listener
- To create a clear understanding of the power of your word
